{HMW} Unlock 500+ recipes by answering one simple question!

Dear Reader,

I'd love to know what you actually need right now, not just what I assume you might need.

So this week, I have one question: what would help you most in this season of your life?

Tell me what you need most right now, food and body-wise, and as a thank you I'm gifting you with my 500+ Recipe Database and Weekly Meal Planning Template, normally $7, completely free, just for taking two seconds to answer.

If none of the options fit, hit reply and tell me. I will read and respond to every one.

By the way, whatever you picked above, there's a place for you to talk about it inside Just One More Bite, our online community.

My Favorite Reads in July

How much of our lives do we actually live on the surface, and how much is happening underneath it, unaddressed, until something forces it up?

That question kept finding me this month, book after book. A house fire that exposes a marriage’s own cracks in the foundation. A dating profile that outlives the woman who made it. Senses shaping our mood before we’re even conscious of it.

The overarching themes this month asked how we can live more of our lives out loud.

Ingredient Spotlight:

Plums

I have found that even with the ripest of plums, there is always a quick hit of sweet, juicy goodness followed almost immediately by a hit of sour. How do plums pull off this flavor shape shifting?

That sweet-then-sour sequence comes from how the sugar and acid are distributed in the fruit. The flesh nearest the skin holds more acid, while the center is sweeter, so your first bite hits both notes almost at once.

Purple foods carry a specific set of plant compounds that give them their color, and they're probably the fruit and vegetable group you're eating the least, even if you're generally good about variety. Plums are an easy way to close that gap. Dried plums, aka prunes, are also the reliable fix for a sluggish digestive system. IYKYK

I mentioned I'm speaking at "What's for Dinner?": The Summit, and here's the real reason I said yes. Most meal-planning advice assumes a version of your week that never actually happens. This isn't that. It's built around rhythm, not rigid systems, real help for weeks that don't go as planned.

25+ food experts. Three days. Topics that match the reality of weeknight cooking β€” budget meals, freezer prep, picky eaters, quick dinners from scratch. These are people who cook for real families and know what actually works.
