{HMW} Filler foods vs. satisfying foods: what your body is actually looking for
|
Dear Reader, Have you ever eaten a meal, only to be hungry an hour later, and start scouring the fridge and cabinets? >>> Or eaten something but have no memory of eating it or enjoying it? <<<< Why does this happen? For many, the answer is simple: Your brain has not been consciously aware of having eaten. In order to have your brain fully register pleasure and satiety, it needs to be present and engaged in the eating experience. That means slowing down while you eat, chewing more, and not multitasking or being distracted while you eat. Easy to say, harder to do, I knowβ¦.but important, nonetheless. Another reason you might be hungry an hour later is because youβve been focusing on βfiller foodsβ instead of foods that give you full-body satiety. So, if youβre filling up on foods that donβt contain at least some fat, protein and fiber, youβre very likely going to be hungry again soon after or antsy for something else. This is because you filled your tummy only. The key to lasting satisfaction with your food experiences is to strive for full-body satiety. So, how do you do this strategically? Step 1: Join the free Just One More Bite Community over on Heartbeat Step 2: RSVP for our first new member meet & greet on Thursday, June 6th at noon eastern (we already have dozens of new members!) Step 3: Stay for the whole session where I'll share my best practices for planning truly satisfying, filling and delicious meals - plus I'll teach you the 3 levels of food satiety.
